Foxes Library
Upstairs on the upper level of the nursery and next to our Sensory Room is our Foxes Library area which is available to children from the Foxcubs and Pre-school departments.
It is a cushioned area which is highlighted in a den environment where the children can choose a book and read it along with their friends.
It is a welcoming space where young minds can explore, imagine, and develop a love of reading. Through stories, books, and quiet moments of discovery, children build confidence, creativity, language skills, and curiosity. It provides a special place for children to learn, share, and grow at their own pace.
BSL – British Sign Language
At Foxcubs Day Nursery we promote and teach BSL (British Sign Language) as an extra support for communication and language. It’s an incredibly useful skill and the children love to learn new signs, especially when reading stories.

Some of our favourite quotes from the children
“I like reading Topsy and Tim”
“I chose a little princess story”
“I like to press buttons on the computer and play the mouse games”
“I like the dragon story, raahhh!”
“We sit on the snake body (cushions), ssssssss!”
